Within a few additional days, your home will appear on national MLS listings for maximum exposure. Only a licensed broker can initiate an MLS listing, regardless of whether you are using no commission real estate services. However, once the listings are active, you are free to place a For Sale By Owner sign on your property and deal directly with the public on your own. This in itself can serve to attract potential buyers who would rather deal directly with the seller rather than work through a broker. Of course, you will still have to pay a standard commission to your buyers broker, but that amount will be thousands less than if you had sold your home under the traditional selling broker arrangement.
